0134L (Alcock)

Features a whistle tip with 2 side eyes and is commonly used post-TURP. It is also useful for other procedures that may cause clotting or leave debris in the bladder. It is similar to the 0132L, but adds the utility of a 30cc balloon for hemostasis. The whistle tip can be cleared (irrigated) easily because it is approximately the same diameter as the drainage lumen. It will not accommodate a stylet.

The silicone elastomer-coating is hydrophobic (rejects moisture). It is smooth and offers protection from the bare latex surface. Prior to the advent of BARD® Hydrogel coatings, silicone-elastomer was the most advanced coating material.

Useful for irrigation and drainage after bladder surgery, or any procedure that may impact the bladder. The 5cc short profile balloon seats well in the bladder to limit leakage and irritation. The large, staggered eyes help maintain tip strength for ease of insertion while maximizing drainage. The round balloon offers excellent seating in the bladder to minimize leakage and irritation.

Used in post-TURP hemostasis or bladder surgery. Natural curve tip permits greater conformity to the bladder wall and directs irrigation flow against the bladder wall. This circulates the material that would not normally be drained from the bladder, such as prostate chips, clots and mucous, allowing better removal of these materials.  

Used for post-TURP hemostasis, this product generally replicates the features of the 0103L, adding continuous irrigation capacity. Coude-tipped catheters are used to negotiate the male urethra, particularly when a stricture is present. The Olive Coude of this model features a slightly larger bulb at the tip to assist in negotiation of restrictions.  

Used for hemostasis utilizing radial (outward) rather than axial (along the axis of the catheter) force. It is used when large amounts of tissue are removed. The bladder balloon (20cc) acts as a retention balloon and minimizes leakage around the sphincter. The prostatic balloon (40cc) is inflated in the cavity created by the removal of prostate tissue. Instead of compressing tissue from the bladder downward, pressure is placed directly on the remaining tissue bed to arrest bleeding.

The bladder balloon (15cc) acts as a retention balloon and minimizes leakage around the sphincter. The prostatic balloon (5cc) is inflated in the cavity created by the removal of prostate tissue. Instead of compressing tissue from the bladder downward, pressure is placed directly on the remaining tissue bed to arrest bleeding.

Used for post-TURP hemostasis, it has a short length tip with 2 opposing eyes. A short tip minimizes irritation to the bladder roof. The eyes are burnished and polished to reduce adherence of materials in the urine. The eyes are also maximum size per French size to maximize drainage capacity. After hemostasis, the round balloon offers excellent seating in the bladder to minimize leakage and irritation. 

The 100% latex-free silicone catheter enhances safety and comfort for latex-sensitive patients. The shaft is clear, enhancing proper placement by providing immediate visual feedback (urine flow) when the catheter enters the bladder. It also reduces unnecessary trauma to the bladder and permits visualization of mucous build-up and clots.
