The BARD® PLATINUM CLASS™ baskets are available in a flatwire and helical configurations.
The BARD® PLATINUM CLASS™ Flatwire Stone Basket is designed with strong stainless steel wires and a surface treated polyimide sheath to provide excellent dilation force when attempting to capture a stone in the ureter. The strong and thick stainless steel wires minimize collapsing of wires in ureter while maintaining shape. The ergonomic handle provides better control and allows a tactile 'feel' for improved performance.
The BARD® PLATINUM CLASS™ Torque-Stable Helical Stone Basket is a round wire design that allows for 360° turning of the basket in the ureter to capture a stone without trauma. The helical design helps in the capture of smaller stone fragments as it is rotated during the capture process. The basket wires tend to sweep the stones off the ureter walls.
