Standard/Bacteriostatic/Infection Control

Standard
Standard collection systems include one or more of the following unique features:

• The Bard EZ-Lok^® Sampling Port (figure 1) allows for needle-free aspiration and is primary prevention for eliminating the risk of needlestick injury during urine sampling.



• The domed Anti-Reflux Chamber (figure 2) helps prevent urine reflux back into the drainage tube while simultaneously providing an unimpeded drainage path to ensure the unobstructed evacuation of clots and debris.



• The Control-Fit^™ Outlet Device (figure 3) provides total control when emptying the drainage bag. This device also securely locks into a holder on the drainage bag when not in use.

Bacteriostatic
In addition to the features of the standard collection system, antimicrobial agents are incorporated to provide a complete infection control system. These features include:

• Bacteriostatic drainage tubing which contains a unique antimicrobial agent that repels many common Gram-positive bacteria, Gram-negative bacteria, and yeasts.
• Bacteriostatic collection bag which is impregnated with a novel antimicrobial agent that resists pathogens commonly associated with CAUTIs.
• Microbicidal outlet tube that creates a zone of inhibition against the most common organisms that put a patient at risk and protects against retrograde bacterial migration.

Infection Control
In addition to the features of the standard collection system a microbicidal outlet tube is incorporated in this system.
